One of the biggest mistakes is trying to install VIDA 2014D using an old package from the internet or a forum post. These are usually designed for Windows 7 and require workarounds that can easily break on Windows 10 or 11.

Solution:
Always use the latest version of my installer, which is updated to work with modern Windows systems and includes all necessary fixes.

2. Not Rebooting Enough During Installation

My installer checks the Windows registry for pending reboot flags to avoid SQL installation failures. However, depending on your system’s update history, you may need to reboot up to five times before continuing.

Solution:
If the installer says to reboot, do so—even if it asks more than once. This ensures your system is ready for the next step.

3. Forgetting to Run as Administrator

Windows can block installers from making system changes if they’re not run with admin rights, leading to partial installs or unexpected errors.

Solution:
Always right-click the installer and choose “Run as administrator”.

4. Using Unsupported Windows Versions

Some users attempt to install VIDA on outdated Windows 10 versions (pre-1809), Insider builds, or even Windows 7. This can lead to compatibility issues, missing features, and installation failures.

Solution:
Use Windows 10 version 1809 or newer, or Windows 11 (stable releases only).

Solution:
Use the standard login numbers provided:

3 — Northern Europe (Scandinavia, etc.)
2 — America
1 — International markets

Do not use the admin login unless specifically instructed.
